S02E06 - Human Origins and DMT with RN Vooght (Spreaker)

The origins of humanity are shrouded in mystery and controversy. Modern academy is steadfast in maintaining the accepted narrative of our past regardless of the resounding global evidence that points to the need for investigating the chronology of human history. Additionally, the use of DMT, or dimethyltryptamine, in the ancient world is an area of past that many researchers stray from. That is not the case for RN Vooght.

Throughout the world, resounding evidence continues to be uncovered that points to civilization having a much older foothold than the conventional belief. The collection of this evidence points to a much older mother culture that dates back to the Younger Dryas roughly 12,800 years ago. RN Vooght's work explores these global connections in great detail. His work also includes a heavy emphasis on the pineal gland and the use of DMT in the ancient world. Our ancient ancestors were resoundingly connected to nature, the universe, and the nature of reality. His analysis of DMT explores this connection and forces us to rethink our understanding of reality.

Andrew and CK dig into RN Vooght's work, the origins of humanity, the use of DMT, and much more. As always, we hear from Eden and get her take on one of our favourite ancient mysteries, the Dogon tribe of Africa.

TAP017 - Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) with Seth Fitzgerald (The Addictive Podcast)

N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) is the most fascinating psychedelic molecule we have discussed on The Addictive Podcast. It seems to be found in all living things, can produce teleportation-like experiences for the user, and is made in our own brains. DMT has a similar molecular structure to other psychoactive chemicals including, serotonin, melatonin, and psilocybin. Known to some researchers as “the spirit molecule”, it is the primary psychoactive compound in the Amazonian medicinal brew "Ayahuasca." Seth Fitzgerald from The Drug Classroom and therapist Glen Marshall provide an intimate exploration of this powerful spiritually-suggestive drug.

The out-of-body experiences DMT produces can be extremely uncomfortable and unnerving for some users. Practical techniques to reduce harm suggest that any use should only occur with close proximal monitoring by a caregiver (“babysitter”) familiar with the drug to prevent the user from falling or knocking over dangerous objects. While it does not show a high potential for abuse, the intensity and short duration of DMT and the ability to frequently re-administer suggests problems involving use could occur for some individuals. DMT is a Schedule I drug and is illegal.

#137: DMT: Dr. Rick Strassman’s Breakthrough Work With “The Spirit Molecule” (Smart Drug Smarts)

Dr. Rick Strassman is something of a legend in the psychedelic research community.  His studies in the early 1990s re-opened a door that had been securely bolted for almost three decades:  studying psychedelic compounds on human subjects.  And he managed to do so with the strongest psychedelic known to man (spoiler alert: it’s DMT).

DMT is so interesting that entire books could be written about it.  And they have been.  Dr. Strassman’s research eventually led to a book, DMT:  The Spirit Molecule, which detailed his studies into DMT and their fascinating results – as reported by the DMT-recipient research subjects. This podcast is on his breakthrough work with DMT….

Episode 40 – Dr. Rick Strassman (The Human Experience Podcast)

In this episode we talk to Dr. Strassman about his new book DMT and The Soul of Prophecy. We discuss the implications of his research – some of the struggle it took him to get the research done and we cover what it may mean for DMT to serve as the biological basis for spiritual experience.

Dr. Strassman is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He is also President and co-founder of the Cottonwood Research Foundation, which is dedicated to consciousness research.

In This Episode of Future Thinkers Podcast: Our trip reports, both pre-breakthrough and breakthrough/Dimethyltryptamine as a door to another reality/Entities, multi-dimensional objects, and the hyperspace/Levels of reality and higher consciousness/Parallels with meditative states/Lessons and insights gained from the experience

The DMT Experience, Featuring Mitch Shultz (Reset with Amber Lyon)

Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) is a psychedelic compound produced profusely in nature and inside the human body.  DMT is rapidly spreading around the world due to it’s ability to induce powerful mystical and healing experiences in just a 10-20 minute journey.

In this episode, Amber speaks with filmmaker and culture hacker Mitch Schultz, the writer and director of DMT the Spirit Molecule.  The two discuss what happens during a DMT experience, the healing properties of DMT, and freedom of consciousness.
